Nice copy of classic novel; 60th anniversary facsimile issued by B-O-M-C; includes laid-in flyer. Awarded Pulitzer Prize for fiction in 1958. Discoloration of lower front cover, dust jacket, and 1st page or two. 2-2.5" tears on rear of DJ repaired with tape, a few chips, and in removable mylar protector. DJ bright blue colors, as originally published. Otherwise, book is clean and bright, printing on blue cloth boards and spine clear and colors good. ; 8vo - over 7" - 9" tall

Finely produced copy of author's autobiographical novel set in his native Knoxville, Tennessee which was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for fiction in 1958. Though published in 1957, it was actually written by Agee from 1948 through 1955; and published posthumously. In rich black full leather covers with elaborate gilt ornamentation on front, back and spine; four raised bands on spine. All edges gilt. Interior published on rich papers and with maroon silk moire endpapers and matching satin ribbon bookmark sewn in. --- Illustrated by Ben F. Wohlbert. A bright, sharp, clean, unmarked copy. A handsome addition to anyone's bookshelf, issued as part of Franklin's Pulitzer Prize-winners series.; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 342 pages
