Stated second printing. A complete compilation of the writings of Edgar Allan Poe. Included are his poems, his prefaces to his poetry collections, scenes from his "Politian", his shorter tales (such as "The Murders in the Rue Morgue" and "The Tell-Tale Heart"), and longer works such as "The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym". Also included at rear of volume: a chronology, notes (by the editor), and indices of titles and first lines. Works selected and edited by Patrick F. Quinn. --- In full maroon cloth-covered boards with gilt-stamped spine titling, LOA device and horizontal bars in gilt on spine; sewn-in maroon satin ribbon bookmark. Interior leaves very thin and wispy. Volume housed in cream paper-covered slipcase. --- A few leaves near front of volume are creased, otherwise a brigth, firm, unmarked copy.
