A Modern Library edition of one of the most remarkable works of religious philosophy by a member of the early Roman Catholic Church. Translated by Edward B. Pusey and with an introduction by the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Fulton J. Sheen. --- Toledano spine 8, w/pale green cloth-covered boards, gilt titling on green spine & cover blocks, green topstain, grey Kent endpapers. Volume bears 1949 date but likely published c.1950. Jacket style h, verso advertises 347 titles in ML catalog. ML #263.1. --- A firm, clean, unmarked copy; but with some fading to gilding on cover. Dust jacket bears original $1.25 flap price w/light edgewear and slightly sunned spine, otherwise in great shape and in removable archival mylar protector.; 12mo 7" - 7-1/2" tall; xiv, 338 pages

ML #263.1. --- A clean, firm, bright copy but with incidental soiling to covers and a small tear to gutter near title page, which doesn't affect the soundness of the binding.; 12mo 7" - 7-1/2" tall; xiv, 338 pages
