Each issue of Scribner's includes fictional and non-fiction stories and articles, often by well-known authors, accompanied by dozens of charming illustrations, photos, poems, and other articles written for a generally mature audience. Includes articles or stories by Theodore Roosevelt ('Oliver Cromwell'), J.M. Barrie ('Tommy and Grizel, chapters I-XX), Edith Wharton ('Copy-A Dialogue') and a likely first appearance of Joel Chandler Harris's 'Miss Irene'; as well as many others. --- Volume in half leather (spine & corners) over navy cloth. Volume textblock clean, firm and intact, but with looseness at front hinge, partially detached back strip (spine), about 1/4 of back is missing.; Small 4to 9" - 11" tall; 768 pages
