This story, set in the Wild West, features the author's Jim Curry and Charlie Mark characters. Max Brand was the best-known pseudonym of Frederick Schiller Faust (1892-1944). Mr. Faust worked at a cattle ranch in California as a youth and was one of the most prolific American writers. --- In full black paper-covered boards with titling and decorations in white on cover and spine.
