Number 59 of 1000 in this limited "Posse Edition". The 24th in the series of "Brand Books", as issued by the Denver Posse of The Westerners group. These books consist of historical vignettes, biographical profiles and other historical stories from somewhere in the American West. This 1973 version includes poetry by Thomas Hornsby Ferril, art and design by John H. Flores. Includes long-time Denver bookseller Fred Rosenstock's reminiscence, "The Denver I Remember". The book is dedicated to Mr. Rosenstock. Also included are topics such as Saloons in the West, Pueblo Indian dances; among others. The stories are accompanied by lots of black & white photos, maps and drawings.
