Number 456 in a limited edition of 2000 copies, so noted on a limitation page and signed by both authors, with full color Otto Kuhler painting. The story of the Moffat Road, "America's most colorful railroad" is told, with dozens of historic black & white photos, schematics and schedules. The road was notable for its Moffat Tunnel through the Continental Divide, as well as many other smaller tunnels. Folded map of the Moffat Road routes used by the Road's operating companies laid in. Also laid in is a separate publication in stapled wraps, which provides supplementary information about the Moffat Road and was a memento distributed at an autographing party at the time of publication of this work. --- In full brown cloth-covered boards with Moffat Tunnel Route emblem & titling in gilt to cover, spine titling in gilt. Jacket repeats the Otto Kuhler color painting. --- Volume is in excellent shape: sturdy, clean and tightly bound though with minor wear to cloth at edges.
