A signed, limited edition of this history, in words, maps and pictures, of the Denver South Park & Pacific Railroad, which connected Denver and some of the mining towns high in the Rockies, such as Buena Vista, Leadville and Gunnison. With plenty of black & white photos, drawings and maps. Pocket at rear of volume holds five folded maps. Number 991 of a limited edition of 1000 copies; signed by author M. C. Poor on limitation page. --- NOTE: The publishers also issued a companion volume, entitled "Pictorial Supplement to Denver South Park & Pacific", which is separately offered by this bookseller. --- In full blue buckram boards with titling in gilt on cover and spine. Jacket with black & white Philip Ronfor painting of two steam locomotives to cover. --- Once wrapped in an old-style Bro-Dart mylar dust jacket protector, which left adhesive remnants to edges of covers, else a firm, clean, bright copy. Jacket with a couple of tape-repaired tears but remaining intact and protected in clear removable mylar wrapper.
