First published in 1906, "The Man of Property" begins the story of England's wealthy Forsyte family, starting with Old Jolyon and a large cast of other eccentric family members. This edition illustrated by Charles Mozley, with an introduction by Evelyn Waugh. Sandglass flyer not present. --- In full tan cloth-covered boards with drawn portrait of a Forsyte to cover in brown, titling in gilt on brown spine block, and brown topstain. Volume protected in brown paper-covered slipcase. --- An excellent copy: clean, tightly-bound and bright but with prior owner's bookplate affixed to front paste-down and with a strip of faint darkening to front cover. Slipcase also very nice, though with a bit of rubbing & fingerprints.
