This work presents over 100 these gorgeous views dating from 1838 to 1908. Includes such diverse locales as Winnipeg, Prescott (Arizona Territory), Memphis, Pittsburgh and San Diego, as well as plenty of others from coast to coast. --- This oversize hardcover measures 15 in. wide x 12.75 in. tall. In full linen-finish navy paper-covered boards with silver-stamped cover and spine titling. Jacket with aerial view of San Francisco by C. R. Parsons, originally published by Currier & Ives. --- An excellent copy: bright, unmarked and tightly bound, though with tiny remainder dot to lower textblock edge and a hint of wear to edges of boards. Jacket in Near Fine condition and lacking damages worthy of mention.
