Sherwood Anderson (1876-1941) wrote this collection of 22 short stories from 1915 to 1916 and published them as "Winesburg, Ohio" in 1919. All stories are set in the mythical town, and they detail the life of his George Willard character. They are presented in this deluxe Franklin Library reprint edition with illustrations by Miki. An entry in the publisher's 100 Greatest Masterpieces of American Literature series, issued in conjunction with the Bicentennial of the American Revolution. One of an unspecified number in this limited edition. --- Bound in rich full green bonded leather covers with three raised bands on spine. Spine titling, elaborate decorations to covers and spine, and textblock edges all in bright gilt. Interior leaves printed on high-quality papers. Green silk moire endpapers, with matching sewn-in satin ribbon bookmark.
