A set of 5 softcover volumes detailing the extensive holdings of Germany's Beck family, prior to sale at Sotheby's auctions in October 2002 in London. The collection of German Expressionist and Modern Art was assembled beginning in the 1920s by Paul Beck, and continued by his son Helmut Beck and grandson Professor Dr. Rainer Beck, who supplies an essay about the collection in volume I. The many paintings, drawings and sculptures are pictured in color (some folding out), along with details about the artists, provenance, expected prices to be realized and other pertinent details. --- The five volumes each with color image of a representative piece from the collection; and housed in shared slipcase which is covered in white paper. --- This set in excellent condition: bright and newish.
